Curriculum and Philosophy

What does Meraki mean?

“Meraki” is a Greek word that means doing something with soul, creativity, and love—just like how we approach learning.

What is your philosophy?

What is your philosophy?

At Meraki Learning Center, we understand the essential role preschools play in childcare and child development, and we take that responsibility seriously! Our program fosters cognitive, language, fine and gross motor, as well as social and emotional growth. We believe that children learn best through play in a safe and loving environment. Our goal is to provide a fun, structured space where children can explore their curiosity and creativity, build friendships, take initiative, develop self-control and self-confidence, all while establishing a strong educational foundation

What curriculum do you use?

What curriculum do you use?

We utilize a child-led, play-based curriculum that integrates the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other evidence-based practices. This approach emphasizes engaging activities and exploration (the best parts of play!) to foster the development of language and communication, physical skills, cognitive skills, adaptive skills and social-emotional skills.

What is a treatment plan?

What is a treatment plan?

A treatment plan is a set of developmental goals for each child. These goals are established through observation and play and are designed to promote progress across various developmental domains. Staff seamlessly integrate opportunities to practice and achieve these skills into the children's daily activities. We collect data on these goals to accurately measure progress and guide our team in making informed decisions about any necessary interventions
